Nowgong Bengali Association Is one of the oldest and among the most reputed sociocultural organization in Assam that boast of rich cultural heritage. The achievements of this organization are many and are known across the length and breadth of the country and beyond. For one hundred and twenty five years,the organization has carried on its glorious deeds uninterrupted. Standing at the threshold of its 125th anniversary, the organization is all set to recapture the frozen memories of all their achievements and roll them out to the patrons of the present generation to cherish and emulate.
To commemorate this momentous occasion in a befitting manner, a year long celebration has been proposed by the organization.
The inaugural programme of this Anniversary celebration will happily coincide with the birth anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore on the 9th May,2018(25th Vaishakh,1425) and it would be followed by Nazrul, Jyoti,Rabha & Bhupen Hazarika’s Birth Anniversary, Educational Seminar, Sports events, Shree Durgotsav and lastly North East Cultural Festival as a closing programme.
